Student Ministry (Grades 7-12)

Thanks for visiting the Student Ministry section of our website!  The sole mission of our ministry is to see teenagers changed by becoming and growing as disciples of Jesus Christ. It is our undeniable conviction that the Holy Spirit accomplishes this mission through the clear and correct teaching of the Bible, within community, by Christ-exalting adults.

Everything we do flows out of this mission. We invite you to discover the three primary ways the Knollwood Student Ministry sees to teenagers becoming and growing as disciples of King Jesus.

Please do not hesitate to contact us, if you have questions, or if there is anyway we can minister to you and/or your family!

Grace and Peace,

Elijah Hearin - Youth Director

All students (from grades 7-12) are welcome to join us every Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Fellowship Center at Knollwood Community Church. FLOW is a safe environment where students can hangout with one another, enjoy activities (outdoor/indoor games, movies, and off-campus events), and explore God and Christianity on a more conversational level.

Rock Solid

Rock Solid is our weekly Sunday morning program fashioned to help students take their next step in becoming or growing as a disciple of King Jesus.  While Rock Solid is open to all students, our program is broken up into three groups (Junior High, Senior High Boys, and Senior Groups). For each group the morning consists of breakfast, a lesson, and prayer time. Each lesson centers around and flows out of the Bible, is tailored to meet the specific needs of each groups, and is taught by a trained and qualified leader. Rock Solid takes place every Sunday in the Fellowship Center from 9 to 10 a.m.

It is our firm conviction that teenagers do not fall into a separate category due to their age, rather Jesus’ Command to make disciples of all nations is just as much for them as it is for adults! Teenagers are presented with many different spheres of potential influence that adults simply are not. As a church it is our responsibility to intensively equip students to be able to effectively share the gospel in these different spheres God has placed them in in. Immersion is Knollwood’s primary means of equipping teens to share the gospel. Immersion will primarily provide teens with the opportunity to receive in-depth training in prevalent worldview that surround them, so that they many communicate the gospel to others in a way they understand. Further, Immersion will provide students with the opportunity to practice sharing the gospel. Immersion is only open to high school students (9 - 12 grade). If interested, please contact Elijah.
