Junior high can be an exciting time in the life of teenagers, full of changes and new adventures. It can also be challenging. The junior high ministry seeks to walk alongside students and their families as they navigate this exciting and challenging time of life. We offer programs that build community, foster spiritual growth, and are super fun. We invite you to learn more about the junior high ministry and to get involved.
The Basement (formerly Sunday School)
Meets each Sunday morning at the KCC campus from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
The Basement is a weekly opportunity for students to grow deeper in their faith in a significant way. Each week junior highers are taught the Bible in a fun, interesting, and systematic way. Our goal is to give students the big picture of who God is, how God is at work in the world, and how God wants to radically invade and transform their lives. The Basement is an exciting time when junior high students enjoy games, free snacks, time to hang out with each other, and hear a relevant, age-appropriate message that will challenge them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Come and join us for a great time!
Junior High Retreat
Each fall the junior high ministry goes on a weekend retreat designed to help students build stronger bonds of friendship with each other, grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus, or begin a relationship with Jesus for the very first time. The junior high retreat is one of the highlights of the year for students in our ministry and is an event that you will not want to miss.
Adult Leaders
All junior high activities and events are led by leaders who have been carefully screened, trained, and equipped to minister specifically to this age group. If you feel like God is calling you to minister to junior high students, we would love the opportunity to talk with you more.
